Happy Valentine’s Day
Thanks to cousin Carol, we made a few flower arrangements to include at my pottery sale on Valentine’s Day at the Maker’s Market at Santana Row. My pots never looked better!
Happy New Year!
Here are some of my top items sold in 2020. After my first show, the planters all included succulent plants and vases included any flowers displayed in them. Planters and vases were the most popular in September, November and December, but the gnomes stole the show in December and several mugs also went home to …
Pedestal Bowl
Inspired by some pedestal bowls seen and used at a pottery school I attended in Italy for 2 weeks in October 2019.
Textured Vase
This is a short but sweet textured vase — perfect for a few flowers or succulent cuttings.
Small Textured Planter
This would be the perfect new home for a nice little succulent plant.
Multi-Colored Mug
This mug was colored by combining a number of different glazes. It’s hard to predict exactly how the colors will meld together during the glaze firing, but this mug was a definite win.
Drippy Bowl
These natural drips from two glazes interacting are amazing. In many ways, pottery is part science, part art, and part kiln condition magic!
Olive Oil Cruet
I loved this beauty so much when it came out of the kiln that it’s a keeper! 🙂
